"Don't let today get in the way of tomorrow."
Keynote speaker Bentina Chisolm Terry implored the University of West Georgia graduates to "not let today get in the way of tomorrow" at the December, 2018, Commencement ceremonies. "Life is filled with nothing but yesterdays, todays and tomorrows," said Terry, who serves as senior vice president of the Northwest Region for Georgia Power. "We're all depending on you, the graduates of the University of West Georgia, to educate the next generation; to create a new way to travel; to make our communities better places to live, and overall to improve our world." Bentina Terry is responsible for Georgia Power's operations, sales, customer service, economic and community development, and external affairs activities for 1.4 million customers across metro Atlanta and the northwest corner of Georgia.
